This hasn't been updated on SourceForge for a couple versions now. I like to get the standalone filters to go with the thespian just all that'south bachelor now is for version i.7.ix along with its accompanying older version player. This new version player too no longer plays well with Shark007's codecs, which I utilize on my dwelling theater system PC. The player now crashes on DVD moving picture play right off the bat and the AC3 audio on whatsoever video file has a funny noise that pops up in the background off and on, and may or not be related to the Shark007 codecs package install. I have at present switched to MPC-Exist instead, which works well with Shark007 codecs. The only thing this actor has going for it now is the subtitle download capabilities, of which MPC-BE sorely lacks, and so I proceed MPC-HC on hand just in instance I need to download a subtitle file for a movie if needed, although I could simply practice that directly online to Subscene, Subscene has never failed to provide a subtitle file for a movie, especially for foreign language parts only.

Unless y'all're using Grand-lite codec pack, look elsewhere for a thespian. Every bit mentioned above, MC-BE works well, and VLC payer is another option, that has about all the internal codecs you would most likely need.

3 stars, but only existence that information technology could piece of work well with Thousand-low-cal codec pack, a codec pack I personally don't intendance to use

Excellent software and works dandy, does as it says it will do, I take no problems with this at all.

And I got this version a week ago, how come beta news is so tiresome with updates these days?????

At present you lot tin can use this with polish video projection! IF you PC tin can handle it
60 frames per second ooh la la!

I used this for many years, only for some reason Information technology went Sticky during
a Fast Search/Seek in .flv files..... I had to switch to KMplayer...
Lamentable @MPC-HC ..... You're only an culling now .. 3*

Anyone else got Issues with Fast Seeking thru .flv files..??
VideoReDo H264 is the all-time.. Incl Frame accurate Editing & V.fast ReCode

Went back to MPC one.6.2. Later on versions have no heart aqueduct sound. Couldn't observe an pick to fix to 2.ane stereo. Approximate the new folks at MPC presume everyone has 5.ane theater speakers for their rig.

One time the original developer left, versions since 1.vi.ii have been bells, whistles and tinkering more than anything else.

Bully player this and the k-low-cal codec pack is a must have, simply complaint I have is it does not play nice with some DVDs navigation

Nevertheless the all-time from the original media player archetype that saw off the disastrous ad riddle real player to where we are today, this is the best.

Fifty-fifty though I take personally switched to the MPlayer/SMPlayer combo, I requite this actor 4 stars. Installed with the Mega Codec Pack information technology should play almost annihilation, if not everything. The only drawback for me is that I cannot apply this player to view content on an HDTV via south-video cablevision. Screen is blank, simply book. I now utilise SMPlayer equally my default player to achieve this. QuickTime can do it likewise, simply QuickTime Player is very limited nowadays.

@TROLL: What a "nice" video file has been troubling y'all that y'all merely accept simply installed more than 20 players on your system? That's weird, isn't it?

Media Player Classic - Home Movie theater arranged with K-Lite Codec Pack works perfectly for me every time.

Great lite player.
I merely don't know why they go on writing that empty key to the registry even when running information technology in portable mode, I contacted them and they lied virtually fixing it.

I use VLC for PC viewing of media. Am I missing something past not using MPC? The only thing is that VLC is not available in 64bit withal and I don't feel similar downloading every codec to play a certain file with MPC. Someone delight enlighten me about this, Cheers for any info. I give it 5 stars cause it has ever been a favorite of everyone merely I have never used it except back in the days of Windows 95.

Mr. Flemens. 99% of the Windows users employ Windows XP or vii and you requite this extraordinarily stable and cracking histrion one star considering it supposedly crashed your Windows 8? That'south rather childish, isn't it?

I take never seen MPC crash any OS that I installed, and if I always encounter that, I will first arraign the bad drivers, considering that sounds rather logical to me.
